The joy of the wedding ceremony in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, turned into a weeds when the wedding podium flew into the grip of the hypertension line. Due to the strong wind and storm, the pandal got blown up and got hit by the line passing above and suddenly the current ran through the entire pandal. More than half a dozen people standing holding the pandal got scorched due to the current. After the incident, all the injured were admitted to the district hospital where 4 people died while 3 people are
being treated in the hospital. After this incident, mournful silence spread in the Manglik program.
The incident is of Kamalapur police station area of Sitapur. The marriage of Nidhi Pal, daughter of Rajendra Pal, resident of Hanumanpur village here, was fixed with Vikas Pal, son of Ram Pratap, resident of Mokshapur Kalan in Biswan tehsil. According to the information received, on the night of May 28, the groom had reached the bride’s house with a procession and after the gatekeeper, the bridegroom and the people were eating all the food. According to the groom, late in the night when everyone was having food, there was a storm with strong wind and the pandal started flying. Seeing the pandal flying, the procession and the people started catching the pandal and at the same time a pipe of the pandal came in the grip of the high tension line passing above. As soon as it came under the grip of the pipeline, current ran in it and suddenly there was a scream. Around 7 people holding the pandal got serious burns who were admitted to the CHC for treatment.

Seeing the condition of all the injured in critical condition, the doctors referred all of them to the district hospital where 4 people died during treatment while three people are still undergoing treatment. As soon as the news of the death of 4 people came to the notice of the people of the bride’s side, there was a cry here and the happiness of marriage turned into mourning. On receiving the information of the incident, DM-SP reached the spot and took stock of the incident and consoled after talking to the family.
