Sri Lanka will return home without winning any match in England, Team India will take a tough test at home

England bowled out Sri Lanka for 166 in the third and final One Day International (ODI) after Tom Curran-led fast bowlers bowled out Sri Lanka for 166, but the match had to be called off due to incessant rain.

With the match being cancelled, England lost the chance to clean up Sri Lanka in the one-day series after the T20I series. The hosts won the T20I series 3-0 and the ODI series 2-0.

England won the toss and elected to bowl first and the bowling of Karan (4 for 35), Chris Woakes (2 for 28) and David Willey (2 for 36) helped the Sri Lankan team in 41.1 overs. Just wrapped it up.

Only Dasun Shanaka could bat for Sri Lanka, who scored an unbeaten 48 off 65 balls with the help of two sixes and as many fours. Apart from him, only Vanindu Hasaranga (20) could touch the 20-run mark. After the end of Sri Lanka’s innings, however, it started raining which continued, due to which it was decided to cancel the match.

The Sri Lankan team will now play a series of three ODIs and as many T20 matches against India at home. The tour will begin on July 13 and end on July 25. The Indian team will be led by Shikhar Dhawan while the coaching will be handled by Rahul Dravid.
