Tanzania’s female MP had to wear ‘too tight’ pants, heavy, thrown out of parliament

dar-e-salaam
A shameful incident has emerged from the African country of Tanzania. Woman MP Kondester Sichwale was shown the way out of Tanzania’s parliament only because she was allegedly wearing too tight trousers. Condestar is a member of the ruling CCM party and is also a minister. The complaint against Condester was made by a male MP from his own party, Hussain Amar. This incident has provoked other women MPs of the country.

Following the complaint of MP Amar, the Speaker of Parliament ordered that he should leave the
House and come back wearing the right clothes. It is not yet clear whether Condestar returned from Parliament. After this order of the speaker, other women MPs present in the Parliament got enraged and called it injustice and demanded an apology.

Pictures of Condestar leaving Parliament are going viral on social media. It is being told that this shameful incident happened when a debate was going on inside the parliament in Dodoma, the capital of Tanzania. In this both Condestar and MP Amar were taking part. As the Parliament session ended, Amar stood up from his seat and appealed to Speaker Job Ndugai to issue guidelines for ‘decent’ dress.

Amar said, ‘The code regarding dress is clear but here MPs are wearing such clothes which are not ‘decent’. When asked to whom Amar was referring, he pointed to Condestar. He said, ‘This MP is on my right. He is wearing a T-shirt but please call him in front and see how tight pants he is wearing.

Amar said Parliament is a mirror of Tanzania’s society and some of our sisters have been a strange kind of cloth. What do they want to show to the society? The speaker then told Condestar to leave. Meanwhile, a group of women MPs has been furious over the whole incident and has termed it as injustice. He also said that there was nothing wrong with Condester’s dress. This incident of Parliament is also being strongly criticized on social media.
