In Britain, a teacher who had forced sex with a 15-year-old school child has been sentenced to five years in prison by the court. After the conviction and the jail sentence, the school administration has also removed the convicted teacher from his job. The victim is said to be a student of another school. Both were identified through a dating app.
Was identified with dating app
Counsel for the aggrieved side told Bolton Crown Court that Craig Slater was an IT teacher at Byerchell High School in Ashton-in-Makerfield, England.
Court found guilty of having a relationship with a minor
After a long argument, the court said that after reading the deleted WhatsApp message of accused Craig Slater, it was decided that he was aware of the actual age of the victim. Actually, to register on any dating app, one has to be over 18 years of age. But, the victim child had registered herself on this app by stating the wrong age. The court has forbidden the name of the victim’s child to be made public due to legal reasons.
Used to chat with a child by fake name
During his conversation with the child, Craig Slater named God Khilau as Andrew Spilter. He used to chat with a child suffering from the same name. The child’s lawyer said that the accused teacher had adult jokes and conversations with the child. He had told the child that he would not tell his partner anything about the relationship, as the accused was already in a relationship with a woman.
Hotel was called on the pretext of gift on birthday
During the conversation, Slater tried to convince the child to meet several times, but each time for some reason he could not succeed in his cause. One day while chatting, he came to know about the child’s 16th birthday, after which he bought expensive gifts and called them to a hotel to deliver the child. After the child arrived, the accused also forced them.
Police arrested after complaining of child
This child ran away from the clutches of the accused and told the whole thing to the police. After which Craig Slater was arrested. The police confiscated his phone as evidence. During interrogation, Cragg admitted that he was positive about 16 to 19-year-olds. She claimed that she did not know about the victim’s young age due to being profiled on the dating app.
