In the Hauz Khas Village area of South-West Delhi, girls from North-East states were publicly molested on the road. Its video went viral on social media. After going viral, Delhi Commission for Women Chairperson Swati Maliwal has taken suo motu cognizance and asked the police to register an FIR in this matter. After this the police became active and says that FIR is being registered.
DCP of South-West Delhi, Inkit Pratap Singh says that at the time of the incident, no complaint was given by the victim to the police in this matter. Now on getting the information, a case is being registered. Necessary legal action will be taken based on the complaint. Safdarjung Enclave Police Station is investigating.
It has been told by the police that this incident took place between 9:30 and 10 pm on the night of 18 July. Some boys misbehaved with North-East girls passing through the road near Hauz Khas Village, vulgar words were spoken to them. The complaint was not made by the victim girls to the police at the time of the incident. Its video was made and posted on social media.
Sources say that the video went viral, but the police did not notice it. As soon as the chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women came to know about this, she intervened, calling the matter very serious. After this the police also became active. Police say that information has been received about the victim girls. The police have contacted him. She was out of Delhi earlier, complaint is being taken from her when she comes to Delhi. After this, a case will be registered in the relevant sections till late night. Police say that with the help of viral video and other technical help, the police will try to reach the accused. DCW demands FIR

Swati said that this matter is very serious and investigation needs to be started by registering an FIR. The Delhi Commission for Women has said that a video is going viral on social media since Tuesday, in which it is claimed that some men molested some girls from North East. The girls made a video of the incident, in which the boys are seen apologizing. The commission says that in this 10-minute video, the victim girls are also narrating their ordeal. According to the girls, when she was standing in Hauz Khas at night, a group of boys stopped her and asked her objectionable questions. When the girls started making the video, the boys were seen apologizing. Swati said, how do miscreants in Delhi have so much courage to go and talk badly with a woman. If strict steps are not taken against molestation, then the spirits of the miscreants will never diminish.
