It will rain in Delhi-NCR even today
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Delhi-NCR today. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light to moderate rain in the areas around NCR (Manesar, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida), Khatauli, Modinagar, Hapur (UP), Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) during the next 2 hours this morning. It is being told that during this time the clouds will also thunder and the wind speed will be 20-40 kilometers per hour. There will be a drop in temperature in the areas of Delhi-NCR.
Relief From Heat
Rain lashed parts of Delhi on Thursday night which brought relief from the heat. According to the Met department, the national capital recorded a temperature of 41.8 degrees Celsius which was five degrees above normal. Delhi continued to heat up for the fourth day this month on Thursday. The IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall as well as 20-40 kmph wind speed in the evening at South Delhi, Gohana and Rohtak in Haryana, Rampur, Chandausi, Sahaswan in Uttar Pradesh and Nagar in Rajasthan. The IMD has also predicted thundershowers on Friday and the maximum temperature will be around 40 and the minimum mercury will be around 29 degrees Celsius.
Rain alert in Bihar
Rain activity in the southern part of Bihar will now increase. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at many places in western and central Bihar on Friday while light to moderate rain accompanied by thundershowers at some places in eastern Bihar. Heavy rain is also likely to occur at one or two places in western Bihar. There is talk of a partial decline in rain activity towards north Bihar as the wind flow from the Bay of Bengal continues to flow towards north Bihar. This is strengthening the rain system in large parts of north Bihar. At the same time, the cyclonic circulation towards eastern Uttar Pradesh may cause heavy rain in the surrounding area.
The Met department has predicted light to moderate rain in all districts of central Bihar including Patna, Gaya Nawada in the next 24 to 48 hours. Based on the photographs received from the radar, orange alert was issued for East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Saran, Nawada, Vaishali, Buxar, Kaimur, Nawada, Aurangabad, Rohtas districts on Thursday afternoon. An immediate yellow alert of rain was also sounded in Nawada, Gaya, West Champaran, Jehanabad and Nalanda in the evening. Patna and Saran received rain in the afternoon. An immediate alert of thundershowers was also sounded in all these districts.
Monsoon is now on the rise in these areas
According to met department, monsoon is likely to continue in Delhi or tomorrow in parts of delhi and neighbouring Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. This may reduce the intensity of rainfall in north-eastern India (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura) from July 9.
