In view of the violation of Kovid rescue rules during the election campaign in West Bengal, the Election Commission has prohibited the holding of road shows and vehicle rallies with immediate effect. Also said that no more than 500 people will be allowed in any public meeting. The order said that the commission has found that many political parties and candidates are still not following the security rules during the public meeting. This order will be applicable from 7 pm on Thursday evening.
Strict action against non-compliance of Kovid protocol
The Election Commission has clarified that the political party and the candidate will be responsible for following the Kovid Protocol. If this does not happen then legal action will be taken. All rallies should be masked by the rallies, the responsibility of the organizers. Leaders and star campaigners must follow the Kovid protocol under any circumstances.
