Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has said that he will soon talk to former fast bowler Mohammad Amir to convince him to return to the national team. After retiring from international cricket late last year, Amir had strongly criticized the current team management. There is speculation that Aamir is now looking to acquire British citizenship.
Amir and Azam play together for Karachi Kings in the PSL. Earlier, former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram had recently said that the young fast bowlers of the team need the guidance of former pacer Mohammad Amir. Akram had also said that Aamir’s decision to retire should be respected.
Akram had told Cricket Pakistan, ‘I still believe that he should have a place in the Pakistan team. We have three World Cups ahead of us with the white ball. I have been saying this for a long time that bowlers should come in the team. When there is a senior bowler in the team, he can guide the young bowlers.
