Berettany reached the final of a Grand Slam for the first time. Djokovic has won the Australian Open nine times, the US Open thrice and the French Open twice, apart from six Wimbledons. He is the only player on the modern ATP Tour to win all Big Titles – that is, all four Grand Slam tournaments, all nine ATP Masters events and the ATP Finals. Notably, he is the only player to have achieved a double career Grand Slam in the Open Era, as well as the only player to complete a career Golden Masters, which he has done twice.

Berettany had reached the final of a Grand Slam
It was seventh-seeded Berrettini’s first final and the first for any Italian player since Adriano Panetta’s title win at the 1976 French Open, and he took to the court with great hopes and dreams. Berrettini made a strong start by winning the first set, but his strength was limited to this set as the next three sets went to Djokovic.

Djokovic introduces experience
There was a fierce fight between the two players in the first set. Sometimes Djokovic came out ahead, sometimes Berrettini, but in the decisive moments, Berrettini won the first set 6-7 to take a 1-0 lead in the match. But the level of the game of the champion players is only in the opposite situation and somewhere the experienced Djokovic has raised the level of his game from here, proving to be a dwarf in every set, giving him no chance at all in all three consecutive sets. He won the 20th Grand Slam by winning the match.
