WTC Final: These two umpires will decide on the title match, Broad elected match referee

England’s Richard Illingworth and Michael Gough will be the on-field umpires for the World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and New Zealand to be held in Southampton from June 18. Former England opener Chris Broad will play the role of ICC match referee in this prestigious match.


The ICC said in a statement that Richard Cattlebrough, a member of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) elite panel, will be the TV umpire, while Alex Worf, a member of the Emirates ICC International Umpires Panel, will be the fourth umpire.

“We are delighted to

announce a team of experienced match officials for the final of the World Test Championship,” said ICC Senior Manager (umpire and referee) Adrian Griffith.
