The Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education on Saturday launched the Yuva-Pradhanmantri Yojana to train young writers. According to the ministry, Yuva is a part of the India @ 75 project (Amrit Mahotsav of Independence). The implementing agency for this is the National Book Trust (NBT) under the Ministry of Education which will ensure its phased execution under systematic steps. Books prepared under this scheme will be published by the National Book Trust.
It states that a total of 75 writers will be selected through the All India Competition to be held from June 1 to July 31, 2021. The winners will be announced on August 15, 2021. Young writers will be trained by eminent writers / mentors.
